Panhandle Championship Pro Wrestling
Think of a time when pro wrestling was just that, pro wrestling.
Long before sports entertainment, crowds were wowed by the sheer strength, courage and integrity of the wrestlers.
The fans booed the villains and cheered for their heroes.
There were no barricades, fans would swarm the ring for autographs, wrestlers brawled all over the arena and traveled the globe making next to nothing.
It was the day of territories and the WWWF was still a regional company run by Vince McMahon Sr.
Deals were often made on a handshake and a mans word was his bond.
Veterans wrestled sometimes twice a show and the rookies always showed the veterans respect.
The ring was 20 feet away from the interview area and the announcers were always wondering what wrestler would come out next.
Challenges were made on the spot and interviews were conducted at a moments notice.
All interviews will take place ringside at the announce table and will be conducted by the main interviewer.
The announce table will be 20 feet from the ring.
There is a line of heels and faces so know that if you attack the interviewer, you will be beaten down by a face.
During interviews you will not cuss as there are small children in the audience and if you do cuss, there will be fines and/or suspension.
Be advised, not everyone will be booked and we will have a maximum of 5 matches as we are on local television.
Panhandle Championship Pro Wrestling takes place at WDNJ Television Studios in Defuniak Springs, Florida.
PCPW takes place in the mid 1980's, early 1990's.
There is no Twitter, Facebook or social media.
Only the wrestlers, the fans, the cameras and a few magazines.
The way to get over is to make your interviews with Lance Russell stand out.
